Hello,

First of all, I’d like to thank Chashama for granting me this amazing storefront window at 1351 Amsterdam Ave for an entire month through their windows granting program. The month allowed me the time to be immerse, or rather, allowed me the time to start forming the questions to ask this community. 125th and Amsterdam. While it seems New York City has many random people who cover any given street on any given day, what I’ve found hanging out in the space over the days/weeks is that most of the people who cross the storefront do so everyday.

As projections facing the street, diegetic. as witnessed has been up at 1351 Amsterdam Ave since Wednesday night. I love this part of the installation where I get to hang out on the block and watch people watching the piece… watching them back. And also talking to people walking by who have questions about what’s going on and how the program works.

Today is the first day the website will be up. I hope you get a chance to watch the videos and comment on what you see and hear.

Harlem is truly an amazing place.
